Marie-Therese started her career in commercial banking, joining HSBC Bank Egypt in 2004. She joined Beltone Financial in 2008 as a portfolio manager. Marie-Therese then moved to NBK Capital as a fund manager to manage equity mutual funds and discretionary portfolios in the range of USD 1 billion. She was also part of the business development and fundraising team at NBK Capital, assisting the team to increase AUMs from USD 45m in 2011 to around USD 1bn in 2015. Marie-Therese joined Flat6Labs in November, 2017 as Managing Partner for the Cairo Fund. She received her Bachelor in Economics from Cairo University in 2003 and Master’s Degree in Financial Economics from the University of Warwick, England in 2007.
