HEERO

Heero as a company is doing two things. We’re building a mobile app platform to create custom branded mobile Apps for eSports teams to help them better engage, understand, and monetise their fans. Every team App on the platform is part of a network so friends, and rival fans, can interact regardless of which team App they are using. The second thing we are doing is helping teams gain an understanding of who their fans are, how to activate them, and the type of interactions they crave. This is what will ultimately drive value for both the fans and the teams themselves.

COLLECTIONAIR

Collectionair is a safe platform for art lovers and collectors to buy and sell, swap and borrow art from emerging art markets, with an initial focus on African and Middle Eastern art. We offer our users affordable art of quality that is hard to find and allow them to trade both new and pre-loved artworks by facilitating authenticity checks, valuation, condition reports, insurance and shipping. Collectionair positions itself as the preferred destination to discover art from emerging countries. In order to bring our users the best offering, our network of international curators carefully select the artworks listed on Collectionair and focus on established and emerging artists from emerging art markets that few people have access to. We curate artworks pricing from $500 to $50,000, with a focus on art below $10,000, but never compromise on quality. In addition, we empower art lovers and collectors by providing them with engaging and relevant content (art tips, art news, how to value art, which artist to buy, etc.), that will help them to make an informed decision when trading art on our platform. Collectionair makes the process of trading art painless. Our team and partners (art valuation specialists, insurance providers, shipping companies, etc.) make the Collectionair experience enjoyable and reassuring. In a few clicks our users can either Buy, Rent and/or Swap an artwork they love, or list an Artwork to Sell, Rent and/or Swap. In a few days, we get the listed artworks approved and advise on valuation. We make the condition report process fast and easy, and provide our support when it comes to shipping and insurance. The product we are building is a B2C and C2C marketplace, that allows users not only to buy and sell but also to swap and borrow works of art. We launched a Beta site at the end of March, that enables users to buy art. The selling and swapping functions will be available by beginning of June. The rental function will be enabled at a later stage of our development. Because we believe that content marketing is key to our business, we also launched our blog mid-April. The Collectionair Art Stories section offers unique content to our users both in written and video forms.

FLIP TECHNOLOGIES

We are passionate skateboarders and action sports enthusiast who are also engineers, hustlers, and DIY hackers. We are focused on developing activity trackers for action sports to digitize and quantify the activities performed and providing a comprehensive list of meaningful and actionable insights in track details and fitness. Flip Technologies has been recognised as one of the 5 startups who has the potential to grow in North America by Digital Media Zone, Toronto via “The Next Big Idea”. We were also incubated in DMZ. Our product is Block – an activity tracker to monitor the tricks and activities on a skateboard/longboard. Our vision is to expand the technology to other sports like snow, surf, BMX in the future. Currently, we have a hardware device (Smart riser pad) which fits the skateboard and connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. The App helps to monitor tricks performed, compete with friends in exciting challenges, monitor your fitness and mapping your rides. Currently, we have a working prototype and continuously testing the device and algorithm with the help of skateboarding communities across the world.

KIKABÒ LABS

Kikabò Labs tailors educational contents, cartoons, and apps by making the learning experience fun and engaging for kids. Kikabò Labs is a spin-off of Achtoons, an Italian animation production Company with more than 15 years of experience in the field. An imaginary museum features the most popular masterpieces of all time. Each work of art is the way to reach a game, strictly related to the essence and the style of the artist. Mati and Dada, two funny characters protagonists of a cartoon show with Tv and web exposure, accompany you on this fantastic journey on Art and Culture of all the time. In the app are combined the three favorite activities that children love to do with smartphones and tablets: watch cartoons, play games and take pictures with the camera. The app will feature the Image Recognition Technology which allows kids to interact with outside world for a real active learning. The app is white labelling and could be customized according to requests from clients (Cultural Entities, Museums, Galleries, etc.)

UNNYHOG

Unnyhog develops unique games. We are focused to change the game industry. So far we’ve developed 3 games for iOs and Android platforms and they were downloaded more than 5 million times. We got a lot of experience in the development, we learnt how to make cross-platform games, in game design we learnt how to attract and keep people in a game. We also tried all types of monetizations: pay to play, free to play, freemium to understand them better. A new and great experience for us was marketing. We learnt how to market games better and we got a lot of connections. During our journey we’ve been watching for competitors and the reasons of their success, the global tendency of the market, and today we are developing a brand new Massive Multiplayer Online game. UnnyWorld – is a cross-platform Massive Multiplayer Online game in a Fantasy world. It is designed to fit millions of players playing every day worldwide. The world has a story, which you will learn during the game. At the beginning you select a character to play. Everything in the game happens around the character. You will be emotionally bounded to the character to keep you in the game. The game starts on a tiny Planet. This Planet initially belongs to you. To make your character happy and help it to evolve you will build different constructions and dig resources. There are a lot of quests, which will help you to start and investigate the game. You are not alone in this world. There are a lot of other people, who can become your friends or enemies. You need to travel between Planets and fight with other real players for resources, as well as defending your own Planet. It really makes sense to invite your friends in the game and create a Guild. Your guild mates will help you to protect your Planet, and you will have a guild chat to discuss your strategy. You can also team up with them and go to Arenas, where you will compete with other teams in realtime for different in-game rewards and ratings. This aspect is very important for male audience, because they are known to be crazy about fast-paced competitions in real time. There is an economics in the game. Players will be able to buy, build and upgrade a lot of things between the battles. Players will also be able to trade with each other using premium currency.

WASHMEN

Washmen is a mobile-based laundry service that enables its customers to schedule a time for their laundry to be picked up and dropped off. Washmen offers its customers clear and concise pricing to solve the mystery of current laundromats’ pricing list. Customers choose a 30-minute time window that suits their needs for each pick up and drop-off. Washmen will then pick-up the clothes, get them cleaned, and drop them off as early as the following day. Customers will have the option to pay by credit card in-app, or by cash at their doorstep.” Washmen operates an asset-free business model. It outsources its logistics to freelance drivers and partners with laundromats with under-utilized facilities, providing both effortless demand and additional revenue streams. In exchange for this convenience, Washmen secures wholesale pricing agreements and transfers these savings to its customers.”
