Ignite Maghreb
This programme is part of the ‘Startup VB’ initiative, funded by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, with Tamwilcom responsible for its operational management.
As part of this, Flat6Labs is rolling out the “Ignite Maghreb” programme to support entrepreneurs with innovative projects: strengthening their technical and commercial skills, and providing a structured ecosystem to help them bring their solutions to fruition.
What you need to know before applying
Candidates selected under this call for applications will receive personalised support through a structured programme lasting between 6 and 18 months, comprising the following services:
- Needs assessment: analysis of the start-up’s current situation and identification of the real challenges and support needs.
- Weekly group training sessions covering all key stages: product, growth, technology, finance and fundraising
- Individual coaching and mentoring sessions: Office Hours with the programme team and mentoring with sector experts
- Personalised support: provided by the Flat6Labs teams, enabling each start-up to progressively structure the key elements of its project (MVP, business model, go-to-market strategy, financial model, pitch deck) and achieve its set objectives.
- Preparation for investment: pitch coaching, investor simulations and setting up a data room
- Public Demo Day: final presentation to investors, the media and key players in the ecosystem
- Access to an active regional network of mentors, investors and partners committed to supporting founders from day one.
Eligibility criteria
The call for applications is open to entrepreneurs and start-ups based in Morocco that meet the following eligibility criteria:
- A company incorporated under Moroccan law, owned by one or more project leaders resident in Morocco or by a start-up incorporated under foreign law. This start-up incorporated under foreign law must meet the following criteria:
- At least one (1) partner must be a Moroccan national and resident in Morocco;
- It must have a business plan for developing its activities in Morocco, supported by evidence of business turnover in Morocco (turnover or operating expenses, etc.
- It must have been in existence for no more than 8 years, counting from the date of registration in the Commercial Register;
Types of projects eligible for funding: Innovative companies operating in the digital sector; - Stage of maturity: Innovative companies that have moved beyond the POC (proof of concept) stage and are focused on developing a prototype or MVP (minimum viable product);
- Operating in the following sectors: (AgriTech / HealthTech / CleanTech & GreenTech / Industries X.0 / EdTech / Cybersecurity / Fintech, etc.);
